1. Organiser
Miles & More GmbH, MAC Main Airport Centre, Unterschweinstiege 8, D‑60549 Frankfurt/Main, Germany (hereinafter “MMG”) is organising the “Cape Town Craze” raffle (hereinafter “competition”) within the Uptrip App (hereinafter “App” or “Uptrip”). The competition is organised exclusively by Miles & More. Apple Inc. and Google Inc. are neither organiser, executing party nor sponsor of the competition.
2. Competition period and participation
The competition begins on 14 August 2025 (6:00 p.m. CET) and ends on 14 September 2025 (11:59 p.m. CET).
3. Eligibility, implementation and management
a. All Uptrip users who have reached the age of 18 at the time of participation, have their place of residence in Germany and have not been excluded in accordance with these conditions or by MMG may take part.
b. Employees of the Lufthansa Group and their relatives are excluded from participation.
c. MMG may exclude individual participants for good cause. In such cases, prizes may be retroactively revoked.
d. Participation is free of charge, and independent of any purchase of goods or services. Participants bear any costs they incur for participation (e.g. internet or mobile charges).
e. To take part, Uptrip users must complete the Cape Town Craze collection in the Uptrip App. Completing the collection requires one Lufthansa airline card, any Lufthansa aircraft card and any two other cards. The collection can be completed only once per user.
The winners will be drawn at random from all users who have completed the collection. The draw will take place on 15 September 2025 after the competition has ended. Winners will be notified by e‑mail on 15 September 2025. A winner must accept the prize in writing by 25 September 2025 (11:59 p.m. CET). If acceptance is not received in time, the prize will be forfeited and a substitute winner will be selected.
f. By participating, entrants accept these Terms & Conditions and confirm that they have read the data‑protection notice.
4. Prize
5 × 2 flight tickets (in words: five times two flight tickets) in Lufthansa Economy Class on the exclusive Miles & More Community Award Flight from Munich (MUC) to Cape Town (CPT) on 23 November 2025, returning on 8 December 2025, will be raffled.
There is no entitlement to another prize. The prize cannot be altered, exchanged or paid out in cash (even partially), nor can the tickets be rebooked. Entitlement is non‑transferable and cannot be redeemed separately or for vouchers. Should the prize be unavailable, MMG reserves the right to substitute it with a prize of equal or greater value at its sole discretion.
5. Data protection
As organiser, MMG processes personal data to conduct and manage the competition. MMG collects the following personal data for this purpose: last name, first name, date of birth, Miles & More service card number and e‑mail address.
The legal basis for processing is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR. Your data will be transmitted to Deutsche Lufthansa AG for the purpose of issuing the flight tickets.
Your personal data will be erased as soon as it is no longer required for the purposes stated. Statutory retention obligations (e.g. German Commercial Code, German Tax Code) of up to ten years and statutory limitation periods (usually three years, up to 30 years) may require longer storage.
As a data subject you have, under the relevant legal requirements, the following rights: right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), data portability (Art. 20 GDPR) and objection (Art. 21 GDPR). You may exercise these rights via our “GDPR – request for information” form at https://www.miles-and-more.com. We will process your request pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR in conjunction with § 19 BDSG). 6. Changes to the Terms & Conditions and termination of the competition
MMG reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. Should any provision be or become invalid, the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected. MMG further reserves the right to terminate or suspend the competition at any time without prior notice, particularly for reasons that disrupt or prevent its planned operation.
7. Limits of liability
MMG shall not be liable for losses arising from errors, delays, interruptions, technical faults, inaccurate content, loss or deletion of data or viruses during participation, unless caused by MMG’s wilful intent or gross negligence. These exclusions do not apply in the event of injury to life, body or health, nor where MMG negligently breaches essential contractual duties; in such cases liability is limited to foreseeable, contract‑typical damages.
8. Miscellaneous
These Terms & Conditions and the legal relationship between participants and MMG are governed exclusively by German law, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Legal recourse is excluded.
Winnings from this competition may be subject to income tax; any taxes are the sole responsibility of the winners and must be declared to the competent tax authority.
