What are "Original" and "Non-Original" cards?

On 29.08.2023 we released a new version where you can find that collections need Originals cards. These are cards that you obtained from your own flight and not by other means (e.g. transfer from a friend). These are represented by a blue symbol with an airplane, as shown in the following images.

When a collection mentions that you need a minimum number of Originals to claim a reward that means that you need to have that amount of cards obtained on your own flights. Here is an example:

In this collection you need 5 Original cards out of 5, which means that all the cards in this collection should be originated from your own flights.

You can this information in two places:

1. On top of the collection you have the information on how many Original cards you need to complete the collection;

2. Right below the reward information you find the information of how many Original cards you have and how many cards you have in total.

Using the same example, you can see that this collection is already filled with 5 cards:

1. Airbus A321 from Lufthansa (Original)

2. Airbus A321neo from Lufthansa (NFT + Non-original)

3. Airbus A321 from Lufthansa (NFT + Non-original)

4. Airbus A320 from Eurowings (NFT + Original)

5. Airbus A320 from Eurowings (NFT + Original)

As you can see, there are 3 Original cards and this collection requires 5 collections. You can see a summary of this information right below the reward:

• Left Icon: Number of Original cards you have in this collection (3) / Number of Original cards you need to complete this collection (5)

• Right icon: Total number of cards you have in this collection (5) / Total number of cards you need to complete this collection (5)

In conclusion, this collection cannot be claimed because even if it has the required total number of cards, it is missing 2 Original cards.

What are "Non-Originals"?

Non-original cards, unlike Original cards, are not directly obtained through a flight by a user. Instead, they are acquired through secondary channels, such as the internal marketplace on Uptrip or external NFT marketplaces. Most collections, as mentioned above, allow a certain amount of Non-originals to be added to a collection. Therefore, missing cards can be obtained through secondary channels such as the Uptrip marketplace, to receive your favourite reward.
